About Me

Liz Thurston is the Director of One to Cherish and works closely with a number of key agencies to deliver services for children and families.

Liz is an International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) Certified  Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI), and a breastfeeding practitioner along with developing and running the only programme in the area supporting Parents-to-be, adopters and fosters carers in the care of their newly arrived baby.  Her aim is to support the relationships between children and their caregivers using all the key principals of international tried and tested methodologies.

“I would highly recommend Liz, she was very patient-I was very nervous at the beginning but she helped me develop my confidance in breast-feeding, believing in myself as a first time mum when I was starting to doubt myself”
Liz wants children and families to feel supported in those important early years and developed workshops to support parents in their very important role as being the first teachers for their children.

I am a firm believer of the unique relationships between children and their parents/caregivers. There are occasions when relationships are difficult to build, I strive to offer services to children and families enhance this unique relationship allowing the enjoyment for parent and child, enriching each other’s lives and therefore enriching the wider community and ultimately the world.

“Baby massage was fantastic, I have learnt to help my baby when he has colic and enjoy our special time together when I massage him.”
